Our mission is to make creating custom photo products easy for everyone.
We sell an expanding variety of photo and home products, including photo blankets, photo books, canvases, pillows, and more. We're 100% employee-owned, profitable, and have rapidly grown from $4 to $50 million in annual revenue since 2013. We're nationally recognized for our 100% remote team, with employees working together from coast to coast.
We're nationally recognized for our 100% remote team, with employees working together from coast to coast. In fact, we were the first all-remote company to be profiled in a case study by Harvard Business School. The entire company meets together in person twice a year to get to know each other, have fun, and work on strategy. Learn more about our remote work culture in interviews our CEO did with Glassdoor and Remote.co.
We'll give you the autonomy and resources to do your job well. We believe our team is happiest and most effective when everyone has control over their own working conditions and the freedom to make decisions that impact our company. We offer flexible work hours, since everyone works best at different times.
We believe the key to success as a company is simple: create the best possible work environment for our employees so that they can do their best work for our customers.
Humility & Kindness
We look at the underlying causes of problems rather than point fingers, because mutual respect helps us overcome our most difficult challenges and create a more enjoyable work environment.
Truth & Skepticism
We look to overcome individual biases by prioritizing truth over trendiness and approaching ideas with skepticism and critical thinking.
Inclusion & Transparency
We aim to create an environment that embraces diversity of thought and identity without any barriers to participation.
Collaboration & Consensus
We work together to achieve shared rather than individual goals and to ensure that nobody is excluded from decisions that affect them.
Critical Feedback & Open Mindedness
We encourage everyone to share their opinions, even if doing so is difficult or uncomfortable. Quickly addressing and listening to these opinions with an open mind is always a top priority.
Customer Problems First
We aim to solve problems for customers in the best way possible, purely focusing on their needs rather than pursuing solutions because they are popular or interesting.
Our Approach to Software
The less time you spend dealing with cumbersome processes and inefficient systems, the more time you can solve problems and work on things you're proud of. We've structured our processes to make it easy for you to individually work as part of a larger software engineering team.
Collage.com passes all of The Joel Test, with one exception: we fix only high-priority bugs before writing new code (hey, we're a startup, after all). We pride ourselves on moving faster and doing better work than our competitors, despite their much larger development teams.
Our founders have Ph. Ds in economics and computer science, and experience in software engineering and research at Google and Microsoft. Everyone in management is an accomplished engineer who knows how to build great software. Members of the development team are surrounded by peers who are knowledgeable, helpful, and have a passion for constant improvement. We continually challenge ourselves to make Collage.com better for customers, increase our efficiency, and realize our full potential as engineers.
We base all employment decisions on individual qualifications and our overall business needs — not on your cultural background, political beliefs, gender identity, religion, age, race, sexual orientation, or anything else that is not directly related to your work. Exclusion, discrimination, and harassment of any kind are not tolerated at Collage.com. We signed the White House Equal Pay Pledge and are committed to ensuring fair pay for all.
Collage.com pays 100% of the premium for full health, vision and dental insurance coverage for you and your family in a high-quality Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plan.
We'll pay for any equipment (within reason) that will help you work.
We offer all full-time employees a Vanguard 401(k) retirement plan, with Collage.com matching employee contributions.
Paid travel to conferences and meetings.
$3,000 / year in free Collage.com products, and employee discount for friends and family.
Flexible day-to-day schedule and generous vacation policy: work hard and take vacation when you need it.
Home Internet reimbursement.
